Question: Is there any diagrams of how to run lines for a laser 2 sailboat?
I am not sure if the only halyard that has wire is the jib, or if the main halyard also is wire rope.

Question: Is there any advantage/disadvantage to adding weight to the center stern of a sailboat?
I recently bought 24′ sailboat, and as I was cleaning it out I noticed 4 bricks (slightly longer than bricks actually) that have ALCO engraved into them. This is my first boat and I’m not sure if I should take em out or not but I’d imagine having them there would just slow me down? Any knowledge appreciated, Thanks

it will help the boat rock less in the waves. but not worth it because it will way the boat down.
Question: Are there any good classifieds for selling sailboat sails by themselves?
I have a Spinaker and a Genoa sail that I have to a 27 ft. boat that I would like to sell and I’m finding it hard to get to whom might be the right audiance.
Are there any good forums for this kind of specialty item-s ?

Search the net for used sails…most retailers selling surplus stock.

Question: Are there any mini yacht models which will help me to understand how real yachts are put together and work?
Maybe this seems like an obvious question, because of course i will have an understanding of how the frame pieces together. I guess i am asking whether anyone knows of any high detail yacht model kits that include the pipes and interior gizmoids? I am going to take an engineering course for power yachts in the summer. Making a model seems like a cool thing to do before i get into really knowing how to fix everything on a yacht.

There really is no such thing as a detailed yacht model that includes engine components, plumbing and electrical / electronics components that will teach you how the real things work. The best you could do would be to help someone who has the real thing when they are getting ready for spring launch. The timing for that would be good right now. Hang around the boatyards and the marinas and see if you can find any work. Most people will be happy for some ‘free’ help. Good luck!
